the kids of Accra…

It was all about the kids on this layover. As I walked through the streets of Accra, Ghana on a fairly quiet Sunday afternoon, groups of kids rushed me when they saw my camera, begging to pose for me and to see themselves in the camera finder afterward. Some even started wiggling their hips and dancing showing off to be the star of the show, so I wiggled my hips along with them to fuel the excitement. Every giggle, every wave of the hand from a child, and every African accented “how are you?” simply made my day.

The kids are just beautiful. They could be models really…well I guess yesterday they were.
